At long last, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 12 will premiere in February 2024, HBO boss Casey Bloys announced at a press event Thursday.
“I was thinking last night that ‘Curb,’ in 12 seasons over 20 years, or something like that, has aired all over the schedule, and it is a highlight wherever it ends up,” Bloys said. The 11th season of the Larry David comedy series premiered on Oct. 24, 2021, and the season before that aired in winter 2020.
Bloys told members of the media that press screeners would be available in the next few weeks.
While rumors swirled earlier this year that the 12th season of “Curb” would be its last, Bloys said no such decisions have been made by the network.

“We generally leave that up to Larry, and I think he’s thinking about what he wants to do,” Bloys said. “He knows it’s kind of been an open invitation, so I think he’s going to decide whether he wants to continue or make this the final season. I would guess before it airs, he’ll decide.”

When production on Season 12 wrapped in March, several producers of the show hinted on Twitter that they had filmed the “last scene of the last episode of the final season.” But David has long treated each season of “Curb” like its last, with executive producer Jeff Schaffer telling IndieWire last year that he “puts every idea that he really likes into [each] season. So at the end of the season, there’s this hole — there aren’t any ideas that he really likes — so how could he possibly do another season? He’s the only person on the planet who doesn’t think he’s going to come up with more good ideas.” In fact, Schaffer said that the final episode of Season 11 was “built to be a [series] finale. …We shot it as if it was going to be the last one ever.”
A source told Variety that David’s current deal with HBO is coming to an end in 2023, which means in order to do a 13th season, David would have to ink a new deal with the network.
“Curb Your Enthusiasm” stars David as a fictionalized version of himself, J.B. Smoove, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, Richard Lewis and a rotating cast of A-list guest stars.
