Biography of Brendon Urie
Urie was born on April 12, 1987 in St. George, Utah, but when he was two years old, his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Urie is the youngest of his parents’ five children, Grace and Boyd Urie.
The family belonged to the Mormon Church, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but Urie ultimately made the decision to quit the organization at the age of 17 because he did not agree with its principles.

Urie learned to play the guitar at a young age and grew up listening to musicians like Tom DeLonge, David Bowie, Queen, and Frank Sinatra. He worked at a smoothie shop while attending Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas and used his earnings to pay for practice rooms in the beginning of his musical career.
Urie met Brent Wilson just before he graduated from high school in 2005, and he invited him to an audition for Panic! at the Disco. In 2004, Urie formally joined the group.
